Learn and grow in our all-outdoor, immersive Forest Preschool, set in an open-air classroom of meadows, streams, and forest trails.

Now with two locations in Croton and Mt Kisco, our year-round Forest Preschool encourages kids 3-5 to build connections to the land and each other. Our teachers aren't just great preschool educators, they're also trained naturalists ready to help students explore the world through games, learning activities, daily adventures and age-appropriate outdoors fun!

In Forest Preschool, math is used every day to count gallons of maple syrup or measure sticks for our shelter, and literacy skills develop naturally through storytelling and reading activities. But our program also helps children build healthy emotional and social toolkits. Especially during the pandemic, our Forest Preschool graduates go on to larger groups or indoor classroom settings with an innate self-awareness and self-confidence, and with great communication and teamwork skills.

Our next year of Forest Preschool runs from September 7, 2022, to June 16, 2023. Students may register for two, three, or five days a week, and we offer a choice of mornings (9:15-12) or afternoons (1-3:45) at our two locations, Marsh Sanctuary in Mt Kisco, or Brinton Brook Sanctuary in Croton-on-Hudson. Both locations provide an abundance of open meadows, streams, ponds and forest trails, with opportunities to learn and explore throughout the seasons. Immersed in this natural setting, students build connections to the land, each other and themselves through a combination of story-based learning, multi-sensory exploration and age-appropriate social development.

If you are looking for an all-outdoor setting for your preschooler to explore their imagination and build connections that last a lifetime, we invite you to reach out to us at info@rewildingschool.com or 914-849-9143 for more info or to arrange a site visit.
