Wild Weekend Events!
The presence of community is the basis of human connection. Our weekend events and activities promote love and growth in the forests and fields of Westchester, and through education, conversation, and sharing in food and laughter we will make a better community.
Our Events
Community Craft
Nights
Our monthly crafting night is a free event for families that promotes community through learning common skills and enjoying the nature of the Marsh Sanctuary.
Bring a blanket and picnic food and engage with our educators and other families to learn a new skill, play games, and enjoy a campfire.
September Craft
FireMaking
This month's activity is fire making, which is one of the most consistent skills we teach! We will teach ferro rod as well as friction fire methods, forage for supplies, and hopefully cook some great treats over the fire! We love this activity because it's so foundational, and there's no better feeling than successfully crafting a fire from nothing but your hands and raw materials.
